How does airbrush tanning work?
The airbrush is a precision instrument that allows for a smooth, flawless application. Special care can be
taken to avoid over application on problem areas such as knees, elbows, hair, blemishes and other skin
afflictions that tend to absorb more color.
Can I get the same result with other tanning treatments?
There are various methods for tanning treatments. Sunbathing and UV ray tanning beds have severe
consequences like skin cancer, skin discoloration, aging etc.
Mist-on booths is a machine and the consumer has no control over the product and where it ends up. This
can’t be achieved in a booth without getting spray on your hands and feet. There is no awareness of
differences of body size, shape or skin tone; and personal preference.
Hand application often results in streaky coloration and stained hands due to the inability to properly apply
the product by yourself. Even with the greatest of care and help from an aesthetician or friend to get all the
places you cannot reach, you cannot duplicate the evenness and natural look of an airbrushed tan applied by
a trained technician.
Tan in a Can. Spray tanning in a can has became very popular. TV commercials offer this alternative to tan
your whole body but even with the best help from a friend, the result, precision and velocity of the turbo
airbrush tanning cannot be achieved with a tan in a can..
It is safe?
Yes. Sunless tanning is the only safe way to tan. Dihydroxyacetone has been FDA approved for use in the
personal care industry for over thirty years. No adverse effects have been reported. Allergic reactions are
extremely rare and can usually be eliminated by showering. Pregnant women need the approval of their
doctor before getting treatment.
How long does it last?
It can last 7 to 10 days. It's different for everyone. It depends on your skin type and how you take care of your
skin before and after your tanning treatment. We recommend that you exfoliate your skin prior to the
treatment. Also it's very important that you moisturize your skin daily after your treatment. If your skin is well
moisturized your tan will last much longer than if your skin is dry. Avoid swimming in pools or hot tubs with
chlorine, excessive shaving or exfolitation. This will cause your tan to fade more quickly. We offer a
complete line of aftercare products specially designed for use with your sunless tan. When used as
directed, they can extend the color of your skin and keep it smooth and even-looking for up to two weeks.
There are other factors that may impact the quality, color and duration of airbrush tans. Quality DHA solution,
skin condition (dryness, sun/UV damage, disease), skin pH, or illness.
Will it cause the skin to turn orange?
The formula has been specially formulated to produce a balanced tan without an orange tint. The orange tint
is often the result of excessive quantities of the DHA tanning agent being applied to the skin.
How long does a tanning session take?
It takes only ten minutes for the whole process to be complete. The first 5 minutes is having the DHA
solution applied to your body. Then it takes about 5 minutes to dry. It is important that the solution dry on the
skin prior to putting your clothes back on to avoid smearing or removing solution from the skin.
What should I wear during a tanning session?
You may wear lingerie, a bathing suit or opt for no tan lines at all.
Will the tanning solutions stain clothes?
While it is formulated to wash out with regular soap and water, we recommend to wear a dark bathing suit
or garment and loose fitting clothing.
